Butler, PA—Tragic Shooting at Local Farm Show Grounds
Butler, Pennsylvania, a historic town with a population of over 13,000, is known for its scenic beauty and notable landmarks, including the Butler Farm Show Grounds. This eight-acre site recently hosted a major event featuring Former President Donald Trump.
During Trump’s speech, the event was abruptly interrupted by gunshots. Trump was seen ducking and grabbing his head as he sought cover. He sustained an injury to his right ear, which was bleeding. The Secret Service quickly intervened, escorting Trump to safety in the presidential limousine, known as “The Beast.” Despite the chaos, Trump reassured the public by raising his fist, while the crowd chanted “USA.”
Update:
The shooting resulted in two fatalities: the shooter and Corey Comperatore, a 50-year-old Volunteer Firefighter from Sarver, Pennsylvania, who leaves behind a wife and two daughters. Two others were injured: David Dutch, a Marine veteran from New Kensington, Pennsylvania, who sustained injuries to his liver and broken ribs, and James Copenhaver, a 74-year-old retiree from Moon Township, who is listed in stable condition.
Our thoughts are with those affected by this tragic event.
